Push the right message to the right people, on autopilot

MarketingCommunicationProductivityAnalyticsAutomation

Spontit is a mobile and web push notification platform that lets your agent reach subscribers directly on their phones and browsers — no app required on their end, no email inbox to fight through. Connect it to Actionist and your agents can send targeted pushes, schedule campaigns, manage subscriber segments, create channels, and react to open and tap events in real time. The result: critical alerts that arrive in seconds, engagement loops that close themselves.

Churn alert to push, in under 60 seconds

When a customer submits a cancellation email, your agent reads the subscriber record in Spontit, fires a personalised 'We'd love to keep you' push with a one-tap link to a retention offer, logs the event to the support tracker in Slack, and drops a follow-up task on the calendar — all before a human even opens their inbox. Retention workflows that used to take three reps an hour now close themselves.

FAQs

Questions about Spontit + Actionist

How do I connect Spontit to Actionist?
Open the Apps tab, find Spontit, and click Connect. The recommended method is MCP — you'll authorise via spontit.com in one click, and Actionist gains full access to notifications, channels, and subscribers with no token management. Prefer manual control? Switch to the API Token method, paste your key from Spontit's Profile → API Keys page, and hit Test connection.
What credentials does Actionist need to send push notifications?
Via MCP the agent uses an OAuth handshake — no raw credentials stored on your side. Via API Token you provide a Spontit personal access token with read and write scopes, generated at spontit.com under Profile → API Keys. Either method grants the agent full access to send, schedule, list, and cancel notifications, plus subscriber and channel management.
Can I combine Spontit with other apps in an Actionist workflow?
Yes — that's the primary use case. Common combos: HubSpot triggers a push on deal close; Google Sheets status update triggers a subscriber broadcast; Gmail cancellation email triggers a retention push; Google Calendar maintenance window triggers a scheduled outage alert. Any app in the Actionist library can hand off to Spontit in the same workflow.
What Spontit operations can the agent perform?
The agent covers the full Spontit API surface: send and schedule push notifications (with images, deep links, and action buttons), send to specific channels or individual subscribers, cancel scheduled pushes, list subscribers and channels, create and update channels, add or remove subscribers, and pull delivery reports and notification history. Web push is also supported.
How do I avoid sending duplicate push notifications?
Use the 'List notification history' action before any send to check whether an identical title was sent in the relevant time window. For scheduled campaigns, add a conditional step that halts the workflow if a matching push already exists. The 'Cancel scheduled notification' action lets you void a queued push the moment you detect a duplicate — no subscribers see the repeated message.
Does the agent support action buttons in push notifications?
Yes. The 'Send notification with action buttons' action lets you add up to two tappable buttons (for example 'Approve' and 'Hold', or 'Join now' and 'Remind me later'). When a subscriber taps a button, the 'Action button tapped' trigger fires and the agent can route the response — update a spreadsheet, close a ticket, log the approval — without the subscriber opening any app.
Can I target individual subscribers instead of my entire audience?
Yes. The 'Send to subscribers' action accepts a list of Spontit usernames so the agent reaches exactly the right people. The 'Send to channel' action narrows delivery to a specific channel's audience. For the broadest reach, 'Send push notification' without a channel targets all account subscribers. Combine with the 'List subscribers' action to build dynamic recipient lists from any data source.
How do I pull campaign performance data into my reporting tools?
Use the 'Get delivery report' action after any send to retrieve open rate, delivery count, and tap-through stats for that specific notification. Pair it with 'List notification history' to pull aggregate data across a time period. From there the agent can write the numbers directly into Google Sheets, post a summary to Slack, or log them to Notion — no manual dashboard exports.
