Live webinars that run themselves — registration to replay

MarketingCommunicationAnalyticsSchedulingAutomation

Demio is a webinar platform purpose-built for marketers: live events, automated evergreen sessions, and on-demand replays with built-in engagement tools like polls, handouts, and featured actions. Connect it to Actionist and your agents can register leads the moment they qualify, pull post-session analytics before the presenter has closed their laptop, re-book no-shows into the next available slot, and pipe attendee data straight into your CRM — all without anyone touching the Demio dashboard.

Webinar no-show → rescue and re-book

When a registered customer misses their onboarding webinar, your agent registers them for the next session, sends a warm re-invite via Gmail, posts the no-show to Slack so the CSM is aware, and blocks the new session on Google Calendar. Customers never fall through the cracks because they missed a single live call — the agent catches every absence and re-routes them within minutes.

FAQs

Questions about Demio + Actionist

How do I connect Demio to Actionist?
Open the Apps tab, find Demio, and click Connect. The MCP method is recommended — you'll authorise via Demio's OAuth flow and Actionist will verify the connection with a read-only call. If your Demio plan doesn't support MCP, use the API Key method: navigate to Demio → Account Settings → API, generate your API Key and Secret (you need Owner status), then paste both into Actionist.
What credentials does the API key method require?
Demio's API requires two credentials: an API Key and an API Secret. Both are generated together in Demio → Account Settings → API. Only account owners can access this page. The API Secret is shown only at generation — copy it immediately. Treat both like passwords; rotate them in Demio if you suspect exposure.
Which Demio actions can agents perform?
Once connected, agents can read events and sessions, list and export attendees, fetch post-event reports and session analytics, register contacts for webinars, create and update events, delete draft or duplicate events, and send session reminders. Agents can also react to Demio webhooks — new registrations, join events, no-shows, poll answers, webinar updates, and session endings.
Can agents react to events happening inside a live webinar?
Yes. Demio's webhook triggers fire in real time during live sessions. The 'Joins Webinar' trigger fires the instant an attendee enters, letting the agent update CRM records or notify sales while the session is still live. The 'Attendee Answered Poll' trigger fires per response, so the agent can segment contacts based on answers before the webinar even ends.
How do I avoid duplicate CRM contacts when syncing registrations?
Use an upsert pattern: when the 'New Webinar Registration' trigger fires, pass the registrant's email as the lookup key in your CRM step. Most CRM actions (HubSpot Create or Update Contact, Salesforce Upsert) match on email and update existing records rather than creating duplicates. Add a deduplication check in the workflow if your CRM doesn't support native upsert.
Can I register contacts for specific sessions within a multi-session event?
Yes. Use 'List event sessions' to retrieve all sessions for an event with their IDs and times, then pass the chosen session ID to 'Register someone to an event'. This lets the agent match the registrant to the right time slot — for example, their local business hours — without defaulting to the first available option.
How soon after a webinar ends is the event report available?
Demio typically processes event reports within minutes of a session closing. Use the 'Webinar Ended' trigger as the start signal for your post-event workflow, then call 'Get an event report' a few minutes later. If you need the report immediately in a time-sensitive flow, add a short wait step before the report fetch to ensure Demio has finished processing attendee data.
Will deleting a Demio event affect registered attendees?
Deleting an event removes it from Demio permanently, including all registration records and any associated replay links. Demio may send cancellation notifications to registrants depending on your account settings. Only use 'Delete an event' for draft or test events that have no live registrants — for published events you should use 'Update an event' to set status to cancelled rather than deleting.
