Which WhatsApp numbers can I connect to Actionist via 2Chat?
You can connect any WhatsApp Business number that is already linked in your 2Chat account — both numbers you own and virtual numbers provisioned through 2Chat. The agent operates on whichever numbers you authorise during the connection step; you can add or remove numbers from 2Chat's dashboard and the agent's access updates accordingly.
What permissions does Actionist need when I connect 2Chat?
Actionist requests read and write access to messages, contacts, groups, and the WhatsApp Business catalogue on the numbers you select. It does not request access to your billing settings or account administration. You can revoke access at any time from 2Chat's Settings → API section, which immediately invalidates the token the agent is using.
Can the agent send WhatsApp messages to any number, or only existing contacts?
The agent can send WhatsApp text and media messages to any phone number that is registered on WhatsApp — use the Check if a Phone Number Has WhatsApp action first to confirm reachability. For bulk outreach, 2Chat's Business API terms and WhatsApp's commerce policy apply: template messages are required for outbound sessions initiated outside a 24-hour conversation window, so design workflows accordingly.
How do I prevent the agent from creating a reply loop when responding to incoming messages?
Add a loop-guard condition before the Send a WhatsApp Text Message step: check whether the incoming message was sent by the connected number itself (2Chat includes a fromMe flag in webhook payloads) and stop the workflow if true. Also set a per-contact message-rate limit in your workflow logic — for example, no more than one automated reply per 60 seconds per number — to prevent runaway cascades from rapid re-triggers.
Does the 2Chat integration support WhatsApp Business catalogue operations?
Yes. The agent can add, edit, and delete both WhatsApp Business Collections and Products, and can read the full catalogue to check current listings before making changes. This covers the complete catalogue lifecycle: creation, pricing updates, image swaps, and removal of discontinued items. Note that product images must be publicly accessible URLs — the agent cannot upload files directly from local storage.
What triggers are available, and how are they delivered?
2Chat delivers all trigger events — incoming messages, call completions, group membership changes, and audio transcriptions — via webhooks that Actionist registers automatically when you connect the integration. There is no polling; events arrive in real time. If a webhook delivery fails, 2Chat retries for up to 72 hours, so transient network issues don't cause silent gaps in your workflow.
Can I run scheduled WhatsApp broadcasts, or only event-triggered ones?
Both patterns work. For event-triggered broadcasts, connect a trigger (such as New WhatsApp Message or a CRM webhook) to the Send a WhatsApp Text Message action. For scheduled broadcasts, use Actionist's built-in scheduler to fire the workflow at a specific time — for example, a Monday-morning product update to a WhatsApp group. In either case the agent reads the target list from your data source at run time, so the message is always based on the current state of your data.
Does disconnecting 2Chat delete my contacts or message history?
Disconnecting 2Chat in Actionist removes the agent's API access but does not delete any data in your 2Chat account. Your contacts, message history, groups, and business catalogue remain intact in 2Chat. If you reconnect later, the agent resumes access from the current state — it does not replay historical messages or back-fill missed events from the disconnected period.
