Sell digital products. Let agents handle the operations.

EcommerceFinanceMarketingSalesAutomation

Whop is a creator-economy marketplace where builders sell memberships, courses, software, and digital communities. Connect it to Actionist and your agents can approve waitlists, issue invoices, manage membership lifecycles, respond to disputes, and run affiliate programmes — all triggered by real Whop events or scheduled on your terms. Thirty-two actions and sixteen webhook triggers mean the agent owns every repetitive operation so you can focus on building the product, not managing the platform.

New member onboarding, start to finish

When a purchase confirmation email arrives via Gmail for a new Whop product member, the agent kicks off the full onboarding sequence — it finds the member record, updates their membership with the onboarding cohort tag, posts a Slack alert to the customer success team with the member's name and plan, and drops a 7-day check-in event on Google Calendar — all before the customer has finished reading their purchase receipt.

Connect

How to plug Whop into Actionist

Pick the connection method that suits your environment.

The fastest path to connecting Whop. Install the Whop MCP server in one click; the agent reaches your memberships, invoices, and affiliate data through a permissioned OAuth handshake — no tokens to rotate, no manual credential management.

1
Open the Apps tab

Find Whop in the Apps library and click Connect. MCP is selected by default.

2
Authorise in Whop

You'll be redirected to Whop's OAuth screen. Log in with your Whop creator account, select the workspace you want Actionist to access, and click Authorise. Whop scopes the handshake to the minimum permissions required.

3
Test the connection

Actionist runs a read-only call to verify the handshake. You're ready.

FAQs

Questions about Whop + Actionist

What Whop objects can the agent read and write?
Once connected, the agent has access to memberships, invoices, payments, plans, products, affiliates, leads, waitlist entries, and refunds — 32 actions covering the full commercial lifecycle of a Whop creator account. Read operations return live data; write operations take effect immediately in your Whop dashboard.
Which connection method should I use — MCP or API Token?
Use MCP for most workflows. It handles OAuth scoping automatically so the agent only gets the permissions it needs, and there are no tokens to rotate. Switch to API Token only if you are running headless server-side automations where browser-based OAuth is not available — just ensure the token is scoped to the minimum required endpoints.
Can the agent trigger actions when members join or cancel?
Yes. Whop exposes 16 webhook triggers including New Member Joined, Membership Scheduled to Cancel, Membership Canceled, and Failed Payment. Connect any of these triggers to a workflow and the agent will respond within seconds of the event firing — no polling, no delay.
How does the agent handle payment disputes and chargebacks?
Three triggers cover the dispute lifecycle: New Dispute Alert (early warning), New Dispute (formal chargeback opened), and Dispute Updated (status change). A typical workflow pauses the membership on New Dispute, assembles evidence using Find Payment and Find Refund, and escalates to finance in Slack — all before you've seen the notification yourself.
Will the agent accidentally approve or cancel memberships it shouldn't?
The agent only acts on the Whop operations you explicitly wire into a workflow or instruct it to perform. Approval and cancellation actions require the correct membership ID, which the agent must first retrieve via Find Member or Find Membership — there is no bulk-operate shortcut. Test automations on a staging product before running them against live memberships.
Can I use Whop triggers to drive workflows in other apps?
Exactly how it's designed. New Member Joined can kick off a HubSpot contact creation, a Slack welcome, and a Google Calendar onboarding event in the same workflow. Invoice Paid can trigger an affiliate commission log in Google Sheets. Every Whop webhook trigger can fan out to any other connected app in Actionist.
Is there a rate limit I should be aware of for high-volume workflows?
Whop's API enforces rate limits at the account level — check your plan's documentation at whop.com for current thresholds. For high-volume operations like bulk waitlist approvals or mass promo code creation, build a short delay between iterations in your workflow to stay within limits. The agent respects HTTP 429 responses and will surface a clear error if a limit is hit.
How do I disconnect Whop without losing my workflow configurations?
Go to Apps → Whop → Disconnect. The connection is removed but all your workflow configurations referencing Whop actions and triggers are preserved in a paused state — no rebuilding required. Reconnect at any time and the workflows resume. If you rotate your Whop API key, update the credential in Actionist under the same API Token connection to avoid downtime.
