Turn every new registrant into a warm handoff

When a prospect signs up for your live webinar, your agent springs into action before the session even starts — reading their registration details, checking webinar capacity, registering any last-minute VIPs, and dropping a personalised calendar invite into Google Calendar. By the time the host walks on screen, Slack has already surfaced each registrant's background to the support team, and everyone who matters is briefed and ready.

FAQs

Questions about WebinarJam / EverWebinar + Actionist

How do I connect WebinarJam to Actionist?
Use the MCP method — open the Apps tab, find WebinarJam / EverWebinar, click Connect, and authorise via the WebinarJam login page. Your API credentials are handled by the handshake; you never paste a token manually. If you prefer direct credential management, choose the API Token method and paste the key from your WebinarJam account's API settings page.
Which WebinarJam actions and triggers does the agent support?
The agent can register contacts into live WebinarJam sessions and EverWebinar automated sessions, read webinar and session lists, fetch full registrant rosters, retrieve individual registrant records, move or unsubscribe registrants, and export chat messages, poll results, and Q&A logs. On the trigger side it reacts to eight webhook events: new registrations, live attendee joins, replay watches, late joins, early exits, no-shows, purchases, and stay-until milestones.
Will the agent create duplicate registrations if it registers the same contact twice?
Prevent this by adding a 'Get Webinar Registrants' step before any register action — the agent reads the existing list and skips the write if the email already appears. This deduplication pattern adds one API call per run and eliminates double-confirmation emails and messy registrant counts. Build it into any workflow that registers contacts from an external list or CRM.
How does the agent handle EverWebinar versus live WebinarJam events?
EverWebinar (automated, always-on) and WebinarJam (live, scheduled) are separate product lines that share the same API credentials but use distinct endpoints. The agent exposes them as separate resources — 'Webinar' for live events and 'EverWebinar' for automated sessions — so your workflows can target the correct event type without ambiguity. A registrant in one product does not automatically appear in the other.
Can the agent react to live events in real time, like a registrant joining mid-session?
Yes. The 'New Live Attendee', 'Registrant Joins Webinar After', 'Registrant Leaves Before', and 'Registrants Stays Until' triggers all fire via WebinarJam webhooks in real time during the live broadcast. Latency is typically 2–10 seconds from the event occurring in WebinarJam to the trigger landing in Actionist. This makes live-session personalisation — welcome messages, late-joiner catch-ups, offer-window tracking — fully automatable.
What data comes back when the 'Registrant Purchases' trigger fires?
The payload includes the registrant's name, email, the webinar and session they attended, the purchase timestamp, and the offer details WebinarJam captured. It does not include payment processor data like card details or Stripe charge IDs — those come from your payment processor. Use this trigger to initiate fulfilment, update CRM deals, or launch upsell sequences; pair it with a Stripe or HubSpot step to write the revenue figure to your financial records.
Is there a rate limit I need to worry about when bulk-registering contacts?
WebinarJam's API enforces rate limits on write operations — sustained bulk registration at high volume can trigger throttling. For bulk imports, add a short delay between register calls (2–3 seconds) or process in batches of 50 rather than firing all requests concurrently. The agent's 'Get Webinar Registrants' step is read-only and has a more generous limit, so deduplication checks before each write are safe to run frequently.
How do I disconnect WebinarJam from Actionist?
Open the Apps tab, find WebinarJam / EverWebinar, and click Disconnect. This immediately revokes the agent's access token — no further API calls will succeed. Any workflows using WebinarJam triggers or actions will stop firing until you reconnect. To re-enable, click Connect and complete the authorisation flow again; existing workflows resume automatically without editing.
