Questions about Perspective + Actionist

How does Actionist authenticate with Perspective — does it store my credentials?
Actionist connects via OAuth (MCP path) or an API token you generate. For OAuth, only a scoped access token is stored — your Perspective password never touches Actionist. For API tokens, the value is encrypted at rest. You can revoke access at any time from Perspective's Settings → Integrations page, and Actionist immediately loses all access.
Which Perspective objects can the agent read and write?
The agent can read and write contacts, leads, funnels, submissions, funnel responses, and workspace metadata. It can also tag leads, duplicate funnels, and pull analytics. It cannot modify funnel step logic or publish/unpublish a funnel — those actions require the Perspective editor.
Can the New Lead via Funnel trigger create a loop if the agent then updates the same lead?
No — Update Contact and Tag Lead do not re-fire the New Lead trigger. The trigger fires only when a new submission is created, not on subsequent record edits. To be safe, the agent checks the lead's created-at timestamp against a 60-second deduplication window before processing, so a duplicate webhook retry won't produce a duplicate contact.
What Perspective plan do I need to use the API?
API access is available on Perspective's Pro plan and above. The Free and Starter plans are limited to Zapier-style webhook integrations. If you're on a lower tier, the New Lead and Visitor Completed webhooks will still work for trigger-based workflows, but read/write actions via the API (List Leads, Get Funnel Analytics, etc.) require an upgrade.
How many funnel submissions can the agent process per day without hitting rate limits?
Perspective's API is rate-limited to 100 requests per minute per workspace. For high-volume campaigns (500+ leads/day), the agent uses batched List Leads calls rather than individual Get Lead requests, staying well within the limit. If your funnel produces burst traffic, the agent queues submissions and processes them in batches of 50 with a 1-second pause between calls.
Can I use Actionist to run A/B tests across multiple Perspective funnels automatically?
Yes. The Duplicate Funnel action lets your agent clone the control funnel, apply a variant name, and hand the new funnel ID to your ad platform for split-traffic routing. Get Funnel Analytics retrieves completion rates for each variant daily, and the agent flags the winner once statistical significance is reached based on a threshold you define.
What happens to scheduled funnel analytics jobs if my Perspective connection expires?
If the OAuth token expires or is revoked, scheduled analytics runs will fail and the agent posts an alert in your configured Slack channel with a reconnect link. The job is queued and retried once automatically after you reconnect — no data is lost, and no duplicate processing occurs because each run is keyed to the date range it covers.
Can the agent delete leads or contacts, and is there an undo path?
Delete Contact is available but Actionist applies a soft-delete safeguard by default — it tags the record 'pending-deletion' and waits 24 hours before calling the destructive API endpoint. During that window you can clear the tag to cancel the deletion. For GDPR erasure workflows, the 24-hour hold can be disabled so deletion happens immediately; that setting is configured per-workflow, not globally.
