Can the agent create subscribers who aren't already in Manychat?
Yes. Use the Create Subscriber action to add a new contact from any external source — a web form, CRM record, or spreadsheet row. Supply a phone number or email and any custom fields you want pre-populated; the subscriber appears in your Manychat audience immediately.
How does the agent find the right subscriber when it only has an email address?
Use Find User by Custom Field and pass the 'email' field. As long as you've stored subscriber emails in Manychat custom fields (which most bot builders do), the agent will return the matching profile in one call — no ID required.
Will the agent accidentally send duplicate messages?
Not if you use it correctly. Before triggering Send Dynamic Message to User or Send Content to User, add a Find User by ID or Find User by Custom Field step to verify the subscriber is still opted in and hasn't already received the message. Can the agent enrol or remove subscribers from sequences mid-drip?
Yes — Subscribe User to Sequence adds a subscriber at any point, and Unsubscribe User From Sequence removes them instantly. Use this to exit a free-tier drip the moment someone upgrades, or to pull a contact out of an abandoned-cart series the moment they purchase.
What connection method should I use?
MCP is the recommended path — it handles OAuth so there are no tokens to copy or rotate, and it works across all Manychat actions. Use the API Token method if you prefer direct token-based access (e.g., in a CI environment or for a developer workflow where browser OAuth is impractical). Both methods expose the same set of actions.
Does the agent support Manychat's native order system?
Yes. The New Order Paid trigger fires the moment a subscriber completes a payment through Manychat's shop, and Find Order by ID lets the agent retrieve full order details — product, amount, and subscriber — to feed into downstream workflows like CRM updates, fulfilment alerts, or finance logs.
How do I use Manychat custom fields to sync data from other tools?
Set Custom Field writes any value to a subscriber's custom field — pull a lead score from your CRM, a membership tier from your payments platform, or a preference from a survey.
