FormsProductivityHRSupportAutomation

Jotform is the no-code form builder trusted by 25 million users to collect payments, gather signatures, and capture submissions across every department. When you connect Jotform to Actionist, your agent doesn't just read responses — it assigns forms to the right people with fields pre-populated, creates submissions programmatically, and triggers downstream workflows the instant someone clicks Submit. Whether you're routing new leads, distributing compliance questionnaires, or launching post-support surveys, your agent handles the entire lifecycle from form creation to data action without a human in the loop.

Post-Support Survey to Resolved Tickets

The moment a support ticket closes, your agent sends the customer a prefilled Jotform satisfaction survey with the ticket number and issue category already populated. Responses flow back automatically — the agent logs scores to your CRM, flags any rating below 3 stars in Slack, and schedules a follow-up call on the manager's calendar before the rep even knows there's a problem.

How to plug Jotform into Actionist

Pick the connection method that suits your environment.

The fastest path. Install the Jotform MCP server in one click and the agent reaches your forms, submissions, and e-signature documents through a permissioned OAuth handshake. No API keys to copy, no tokens to rotate.

1
Open the Apps tab

Find Jotform in the Apps library and click Connect. MCP is selected by default.

2
Authorise in Jotform

A Jotform OAuth window opens. Sign in to your Jotform account and click Allow to grant the MCP server read/write access to your forms and submissions.

3
Test the connection

Actionist runs a read-only call to verify the handshake. You're ready.

Reusable agent skills that work well alongside this app.

JotForm

Shopify

Shopify integration skill — pairs with Jotform when you collect orders or product customisation requests via Jotform forms and need to push the submission data into Shopify automatically.

MCP servers

MCP servers that work with Jotform

Connect Actionist to MCP servers built for or around this app.

mcp
Official

Official Jotform MCP server. Exposes Jotform's full API surface to the agent through the Model Context Protocol, enabling form management, submission operations, and e-signature triggers without credential management.

FAQs

Questions about Jotform + Actionist

What can the agent actually do with my Jotform account?
Your agent can assign forms to specific users (with fields pre-populated from your other systems), create submissions programmatically, read existing submission data, clone forms for new use cases, add or update form questions, generate reports, and upload files to submissions. On the trigger side, it listens for new form submissions via webhook and fires instantly when a Jotform Sign document is fully executed.
Does the agent work with Jotform Sign for e-signatures?
Yes. The New Signed Document trigger fires the moment a recipient completes their signature on any Jotform Sign document. Your agent can then archive the PDF, update a contract record, notify stakeholders, or unlock the next stage of a workflow — all without polling or manual checks.
What does 'Assign Prefilled Form' mean in practice?
Instead of sending a blank form link, your agent creates a personalised assignment for a specific Jotform user with selected fields already populated — name, company, account number, whatever you pull from your CRM or HRIS. The assignee sees a form with their details pre-entered, which dramatically improves completion rates and eliminates data entry errors.
How does the agent receive new form submissions in real time?
Via the New Submission webhook trigger. When a respondent submits any Jotform form, Jotform fires a webhook payload to Actionist immediately — your agent receives the full field data and can act on it within seconds. No polling, no delays, no manual CSV exports.
Can the agent create new forms from scratch?
Yes — the Create Form action lets your agent build a new Jotform from a JSON definition, and the Clone Form action duplicates an existing form into a new one. Add Form Question and Update Form Question let the agent modify form structure dynamically. This is useful for generating campaign-specific or event-specific forms programmatically.
Which connection method should I use — MCP or API Token?
MCP is the default and recommended path. It connects through a permissioned OAuth handshake — no credentials to copy, no tokens to rotate. Use the API Token method only if you're integrating Jotform in a headless server context where OAuth isn't available, or if you want a dedicated service account separate from your personal Jotform login.
Can the agent handle Jotform's payment submissions?
Your agent reads payment submission data through the Get Form Submissions and Get Submission actions, which include payment status, amounts, and transaction metadata when Jotform Payments is enabled on the form. Pair this with the New Submission trigger to kick off fulfilment, invoicing, or CRM update workflows the moment a payment form is submitted.
What happens to submission data after the agent reads it?
Your agent reads submission data within the Actionist session to power the next steps of your workflow — it might write the data to a Google Sheet, create a CRM record, trigger an email, or create an internal ticket. Actionist does not store Jotform submission data independently; the data flows through the agent's workflow and lands in whatever systems you direct it to.
