Send server-side conversion events to Meta — no pixel, no gaps

MarketingAnalyticsEcommerceSocialAutomation

Facebook Conversions API is Meta's server-to-server channel for sending purchase, lead, and custom conversion events directly from your backend — bypassing ad blockers, iOS restrictions, and cookie deprecation that erode browser-pixel accuracy by 20–40%. Once connected, your agent fires Purchase, Lead, FunnelEvent, and 11 other event types the moment they happen in your stack, keeping Meta's ad algorithms trained on real revenue data. The result: campaigns that optimise on actual conversions rather than the fraction your pixel still captures.

Turn customer emails into Meta purchase signals

Every time a customer emails about a completed purchase, the agent reads the message, fires a server-side Purchase event to Meta with the real order value, posts a confirmation to the success Slack channel, and schedules a follow-up check on Google Calendar — all without a human touching a dashboard. Your ROAS data is accurate and your team is in the loop in under a minute.

What this looks like for your team

The comparison strip shows real manual tasks your agent replaces. The calculator translates that into your team's numbers.

Without Actionist
With Facebook Conversions agent
  • Sales
    Manual CRM-to-Meta lead export
Sales reps export qualified leads from the CRM as a CSV every Friday and upload them to Meta Events Manager — attribution is 7 days stale before the algorithm sees the signal.
    18 min/week
    Sales Agent
Instant server-side Lead event per qualified deal
The agent fires a Lead event to Meta the moment a deal is marked qualified — attribution is live within seconds and the rep never touches an export.
  • Marketing
    Weekly ROAS reconciliation across dashboards
The marketing team manually compares Meta Ads Manager spend against Stripe revenue each week, adjusting budgets based on data that's always at least 3 days behind.
    13 min/week
    Marketing Agent
Real-time Purchase events feed Meta's ROAS model
Every Stripe payment fires a server-side Purchase event immediately — Meta's algorithm optimises on live revenue data and the team stops reconciling spreadsheets.
  • Customer Support
Post-purchase event logging from support tickets
Support agents manually note confirmed purchases from email threads and log them in a shared sheet so the marketing team can batch-upload them to Meta at end of week.
    18 min/week
    Customer Support Agent
Agent reads support emails and fires Purchase events automatically
When a customer emails confirming a purchase, the agent extracts the order data and fires a Purchase event to Meta — no manual logging, no weekly batch delay.
  • Human Resources
    Manually tagging new-hire referral sources
HR manually cross-references which new hires came from LinkedIn ads vs. Meta ads each month to justify recruiting spend — a tedious lookup across three systems.
    7 min/week
    Human Resources Agent
CompleteRegistration events attribute recruiter ad spend automatically
When a candidate completes the application form, the agent fires a CompleteRegistration event so Meta's recruiting campaigns receive proper attribution without HR touching a spreadsheet.
  • Finance
End-of-month Meta vs. Stripe revenue reconciliation
Finance runs a monthly reconciliation between Meta-reported conversion revenue and actual Stripe receipts — discrepancies discovered 30 days late mean wasted ad spend that can't be clawed back.
    13 min/week
    Finance Agent
Daily automated reconciliation with divergence alerts
The agent compares Meta Purchase event totals against Stripe daily and raises an alert if they diverge by more than 2% — attribution errors are caught within 24 hours, not 30 days.
  • Operations
Nightly CSV batch upload of offline orders
Operations exports offline and phone orders as a CSV each night and manually uploads them to Meta Events Manager — events reach Meta's algorithm 12–24 hours after the transaction.
    25 min/week
    Operations Agent
Real-time Purchase events fired from order sheet rows
New rows in the orders Google Sheet trigger instant Purchase events to Meta — offline orders train the ad algorithm in minutes, not the next morning.
  • Legal
Manually auditing PII in Meta event payloads
Legal periodically reviews exported event payloads to confirm that raw email addresses aren't being sent to Meta — a manual audit that misses events between review cycles.
    6 min/week
    Legal Agent
Agent hashes all PII before every event dispatch
Every event fired by the agent automatically SHA-256-hashes email, phone, and name fields before sending — GDPR-compliant by default, with no manual payload audit needed.

Connect

How to plug Facebook Conversions into Actionist

Pick the connection method that suits your environment.

The fastest path to firing server-side events. Install the Facebook Conversions MCP server in one click; the agent sends Purchase, Lead, and custom events through a permissioned channel tied directly to your Meta pixel — no API tokens to rotate, no manual credential management.

1
Open the Apps tab

Find Facebook Conversions in the Apps library and click Connect. MCP is selected by default.

2
Authorise with your Meta Business account

A Meta OAuth window opens — log in with the Business Manager account that owns your pixel. Select the pixel and dataset ID you want the agent to write events to, then confirm the permission grant.

3
Test the connection

Actionist runs a read-only call to verify the handshake. You're ready.

FAQs

Questions about Facebook Conversions + Actionist

Why use the Conversions API instead of the Meta pixel?
The browser pixel loses 20–40% of events to ad blockers, iOS Intelligent Tracking Prevention, and cookie consent rejections. The Conversions API sends events server-side — your infrastructure to Meta's servers — so every purchase, lead, and custom event reaches the algorithm regardless of what the user's browser blocks.
Will firing both a pixel and server-side events double-count conversions in Meta?
No — as long as you set a matching event_id on both the pixel event and the server event. Meta uses this deduplication key to merge the two signals into one conversion. The agent sets event_id automatically on every event it fires, so you can safely run the pixel and the API in parallel.
Is sending hashed customer data to Meta GDPR-compliant?
The agent SHA-256-hashes all PII (email, phone, name, date of birth) before transmission — Meta never receives raw personal data. You still need a valid legal basis (legitimate interest or consent) for sending conversion data about EU users, which most advertisers satisfy under their existing ad tracking consent flow.
Which Meta pixel events does the agent support?
The agent covers all 15 standard events in this integration: Purchase, Lead, SendFunnelEvent, SendOtherEvent, AddToCart, AddToWishlist, InitiateCheckout, PageView, Search, ViewContent, CompleteRegistration, Subscribe, Contact, Schedule, and StartTrial. Custom event names are supported via Send Other Event — pass any string as the event name.
How do I find my Meta Pixel ID and Access Token?
Open Meta Events Manager (business.facebook.com/events_manager), select your pixel, and click Settings. The Pixel ID is displayed at the top. For the access token, go to Business Settings → Users → System Users, create or select a System User, assign it access to your ad account and pixel, then click Generate New Token with the ads_management permission.
Can I send events for users who never clicked a Meta ad?
Yes — and you should. Meta's matching engine looks up hashed customer data against its user database to attribute the conversion. If the email or phone matches a Meta user, the event is attributed even with no prior ad click. This is what makes the Conversions API valuable for email campaigns, direct traffic, and offline sales.
How quickly do server-side events appear in Meta Events Manager?
Standard events typically appear in Meta Events Manager within 1–5 minutes of being received. The Conversions API endpoint returns a success response synchronously — if the agent's Send action succeeds, the event is in Meta's pipeline. Aggregated reporting in Ads Manager has a processing lag of up to 3 hours.
What happens if a Conversions API call fails?
The agent surfaces the API error code and message so you know exactly what went wrong — invalid access token, missing required parameter, or a rate-limit hit. Failed events are not silently dropped; they appear in the agent's run log with the full Meta API response so you can diagnose and resend without losing attribution data.
